-in Brazil -main character is Jose -he is a linguist -he is paid by the government to figure out an uncontacted tribe’s language

chronology: -paid by the government -goes to the uncontacted tribe in the amazon rainforest -he builds a house nearby -he sets up wifi-microphones and cameras around the village -he transcribes what they are saying with the IPA -he figures out common things about the pronunciation and invents a special script -he starts corresponding words to locations and finds what some basic words mean -he figures out conjunctions -he figures out most of the language and starts looking back at the audio and video -he figures out things about their culture -the tribe finds him and he uses his information of the language to convince them that he is a friend -he teaches them his script -he works with them and figures out more about them -he leaves and give the government the information (the language is ƛ̭ižüx̭̌ï (/dɮiʒ.y.gʒɯ/))

when i have a tribe name in english, the real name is the translation characters: -main character: Jose (m) -government official who sends him to the tribe: Estefânia Cezar (f) -the tribe leader is wise-man leader (m) -the person who finds him is quick-girl student (f)

random tribe members: -second-woman teacher (f) -rainbow-man smith (m)

how names work: the adjective is given at birth the first noun is the gender (the word for little is added if they are a kid) the second noun is the profession (they have a descriptor if none, e.g. a child could be student and a newborn could be living) they will usually be called by their adjective when they are a kid or in unofficial contexts.
